Green and Air Dried Oak Beams
Freshly cut or air dried oak beams can be supplied in any section and from 2 metres up to 9 metres in length.Standard sections are (150 x 150), (180 x 180), (200 x 200).
Other sections are available and specific sizes can be cut depending on the quantity ordered. Delivery is normally 3 weeks from order.
Air-dried oak beams are often surplus stock left in the yard or shed at the sawmill for 2 or more years. They will be substantially dry and have splits, shakes and knots which add character to the beam. These make superb structural beams and for not to much work they can look as good as ancient reclaimed beams. A large variety of sections and lengths are available.
All our beams and freshly cut timber are carpentry quality oak.
Be aware however that freshly cut beams used inside the home will have some shrinkage as they dry over a period of time.
If you have special requirements we will be pleased to source them for you.

Reclaimed Oak Beams
These are usually 18th century beams salvaged from French farmhouses, barns and chateaux. If you require that special beam for your fireplace or want a variety of beams throughout your house or cottage we have them already or can source them for you.Our typical beams are from 3 metres in length up to 8 metres and vary in section from approximately (150 x 150) to
(350 x 350). Obviously they are ancient and are irregular in shape and section. They have holes and cut outs and some light surface degradation may need to be removed but this will enhance your finished beam.
Beams are priced individually but you can expect to pay approximately £30 per cubic foot plus vat.
